2008 Reunion

Who Am I???
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR 1963 SACRED HEART CLASSMATES?
1. This person is a national class scuba diver. He has won several competitive scuba diving tournaments.
2. Owned and operated a very famous landmark in Sedalia and this place is in most of the history books that have been written about Sedalia.
3. A well know body builder among his peers. His favorite hobby is customizing trucks.
4. Had his fingers ran over playing ice hockey at Liberty Park. Several stitiches were required.
5. Brought a water gun to school hidden in a cut out book during 9th grade science class. He shot several people during class and was never caught.
6. This girl worked at West Side Variety Store and gave good discounts on water guns to her friends.
7. This is a very high profile person in their occupational area. Sponsored citizens tours to the state legislative. This person also received recognition awards for outstanding dedication, hard work, commitment and expertise in their field.
8. Performed a cut-away on the high dive at Liberty Park swimming pool and was met with disastrous results.
9. She was a RN at Bothwell Hospital, became department head and recently retired.
10. When the snow fell, the bob sledge was brought out and after a cold and usually wet ride, Hot chocolate awaited us at this person’s house.
11. This person started the traditional rooster wake up call in front of a thousand people every year for 15 years. He also changed the monogram of a famous institution in Sedalia.
12. Rain, snow or sleet could not stop this paperboy. He developed a strong arm throwing papers and later became a leading pitcher in the Babe Ruth League.
13. This girl took her showers at school because a classmate had an alligator that took up residence in her bath tub at home.
14. Known for his wit and sarcasms he was the darling of the U.S. Army motor poos (63B20). His trade mark was a big round cigar. He later owned and operated a diesel mechanical service for tractor trailer trucks.
15. Attended charm school in the 10th or 11th grade at C. W. Flowers. She charmed her way to being selected the top model in this class.
16. Always quiet and shy, this person became an IBM executive, was valedictorian of our class and married her high school sweetheart.
17. This person married an outstanding Smith-Cotton basketball player that was coached by Sandy Glavin’s father.
18. In one of the few tennis matches ever held by Sacred Heart, this person defeated star tennis player Jack Taylor from Smith-Cotton High school.
19. Married Ancil, he was the ambassador of Vermont Park in the early 60’s, they now reside in Houstonia, Missouri.
20. This person had one of the best singing voices in the class. She sang several songs for us in our 4th grade class. One of the songs she sang was “Little Brown Jug”, but I knew she would be a knock out singing “Sweet Georgia Brown”.
21. When the bell rang, the books were thrown in the locker and we met at this person’s house for a basketball game. We spent many hours shooting hoops at the basketball rim attached to the garage. We were always well behaved because there could be dire consequences if we misbehaved.
22. This person had a fascination with the TV hero – Zorro. He and his cohorts had a list of grievances for the Sedalia Police Department. Our caped crusader delivered them in true Zorro style. He was nearly caught when making his escape, his cape caught on the door handle.
23. This person sponsored one of our 1st birthday parties. The party was a lot of fun. However, we were all warned to stay out of the back yard because of a potential dangerous hazard. Now days, they call it an attractive nuisance.
24. If Gwendolyn was going to spin gold from hair this person would be a prime candidate. This beauties’ hair was so blond she would make Goldie Locks look like a one-night stand.
25. She was a very sweet and quiet person but one day the rubber met the highway. Of all things she put on make up and eye shadow and went to school. She was immediately sent to the office and was told to remove the make up. She defiantly said “NO”! Later that evening, her mother convinced her not to wear any more make up and eye shadow to school.
26. Crash & Burn! This person passed her driving test in the morning and in the afternoon on the same day had an accident on Ohio. Another time she and her boyfriend went to the drive-in theater. They had an argument and he drove off with the speakers still on the window of his car.
27. Certain phrases and simple one liners have stood the test of time. We will always remember this girl’s giggle because it was unique and a joy to listen to. Many jokes were told so we could all enjoy this person’s cute giggle.
