Easter Bunny!!!

One of my special memory moments with the class of '63 at Sacred Heart school was playing the Easter bunny at the Spring play.
My costume was long John's dyed pink with the flap sewed shut and a white cotton bunny tail attached. The girls were in front of the stage singing "Here comes Peter Cotton Tail". The lights were dimmed and I burst on the gym floor with my over sized bunny ears on my head throwing candy to the audience from my Easter baskets. I heard a young voice yell out "look Mom it's the Easter bunny". The kids started chasing me shouting,"it's the Easter bunny". My traction was poor on the slick gym floor. I slipped and was caught from behind my cotton tail was jerked off and the flap in back split wide open - I felt the cold air in back! In my desperate attempt to escape, I threw all the candy high in the air. A very large candy egg hit a woman in the head and bent her glasses. The next morning she called the principal. The principal was Sister Rosella and the woman complained that some of the Easter eggs wee too large. But, at that time, size mattered!

Sorry my assignment is late. Hope I don't get a detention.
